When referring to an awakener or wheel, it means extra copies after E3, using the number that is shown in the UI. For example if you have 6 copies of Ramona, you have E3+2, or a +2 Ramona.

Stands for Alert 1, 2, 3, etc. in D-Effect Zone.
AA¶
Absolute Axiom. Minor buff that unlocks when you have a character at +12.
AOE¶
"Area of effect." Something that affects all enemies at once.

The covenant April Tribute.
Arith¶
Arithmetica.
B¶
Baby¶
Embryo (the Caro special card).
Battery¶
An awakener that can generate aliemus for other awakeners.
Battle Pass/BP¶
Curriculum (the seasonal reward track you can unlock with real money).
Black pool¶
Using a rare item called Origin of Time to reset a standard character, refunding all their enlightens and level up materials and removing them from your account, thus "returning them to the Black Pool."
Blade¶
Blade of the Titan (Goliath's SSR wheel).
Blue¶
Aequor.
Bluwil/Bluewil¶
An Aequor team using Tawil as the main damage dealer.
Buff¶
A bonus or positive status effect.
Burial¶
The covenant Burial Ground's Sighs.
Burst damage¶
Damage which is dealt all in a single turn.
C¶
Carry/Solo carry¶
An awakener who "carries" their team over the finish line. Without them, the team doesn't work.
Chains¶
Chains Unbound (Helot's SSR wheel). Can also refer to the Chains of Resentment effect of certain enemies, which seals awakeners that hit them.
Clem¶
Clementine.
Cocoon¶
An effect on some enemies that grants them increasing fortress (damage reduction) the more damage dealt to them in a turn. Can also refer to the Chrysalis of the Maiden covenant set (sometimes listed as Cocoon of the Maiden).
Corpo¶
Corposant.
Costco¶
In Faded Legacy stages, a strategy based on buying lots of relics using the wheels Frenzy and Emerge.

Daffodil.
Debuff¶
A negative status effect.
Divine Realm¶
Aequor (Divine Aequor/DAequor): When some characters like GMurphy are in your team, they change Aequor into "Divine Realm: Aequor," which works differently. Tentacle DMG is now based on your max HP; your DMG amplification is increased by 50%; exalts no longer give Tentacle Gathering; and the stances are stronger but have a 3-turn cooldown.

Doorstain¶
Doresain, who is much maligned because he's bad in endgame content.

DPS¶
"Damage per second." Term from gaming slang. Can refer to the amount of damage an awakener does, or to an awakener whose role is main damage dealer.
Dual wield¶
Using two SSR wheels at once. You can do this if one of them is at +12.

Death Resistance.
Dream/Dreams¶
The covenant Dream of Medicine. Used to have various different English names.
D-Tide/Dtide¶
D-Effect Zone. Abbreviation of the old English translation.

Enlighten 0/½/3.
Ecog¶
Emergency Gnosis. Abbreviation of the old English translation.
Embers¶
Ancient Embers, an effect some high-HP enemies have. They take a certain amount of extra damage each turn, so their effective HP is lower, but they're harder to kill in one turn with burst damage.

Monthly dupes¶
Refers to Prototype Horizon and Timeloop Copy, two items in the Store that grant duplicates of any owned character or wheel, including limited ones.

To make something weaker after a game update.

OE¶
Over-Exaltation. When an awakener is at +4 (7 dupes) or more, they can use a powered-up exalt which costs 200 aliemus.

Phantasmal Dive.
Pen¶
Remembrance Quill (material used for locking substats in covenant transcription).

Covenant.
Plug¶
Refined Gnosis Primer (material used for leveling up a character beyond 70).
Portrait¶

Premium support¶
A powerful, game-changing supportive character such as Thais. Usually used in the context of D-Effect Zone where you can't repeat characters, so you have to decide where you're putting your premium supports.
Preorder¶
A time-limited paid bundle that sometimes appears when new characters are released. Rewards unlock over time, but you get bonus cosmetics for buying the bundle early.
Proc¶
Trigger an effect. Comes from gaming slang.
Purple¶
Ultra.
Pyramid¶
Can refer to either Gnosis Primer (material used for leveling up a character beyond 60) or Origin of Time (a rare item given out during events and used to reset characters).

Tongue-in-cheek term for when a character is stronger against specific enemies. For example, Corposant is infamously "racist" against Aequor enemies in Astral Reign because her soulforge talent makes her deal more damage to them.

Scale/Scaling¶
The ability to grow in power over the course of a battle or stage. Alternatively, the ability to grow in power based on a specific resource, such as STR.

Soulforge Aptitude (talent which boosts stats in Astral Reign stages).
Singularity: Ultra (SUltra)¶
When some characters like Arachne are in your team, they change Ultra into "Singularity: Ultra," which works differently. Your DMG amplification is increased by 50%; your command cards are buffed and get further buffs when put into Ultra Space; Annihilation has a 3-turn cooldown and puts the leftmost card from Ultra Space into your hand instead of giving you an Insight; and the Ultra Round extends your current turn instead of starting a new turn.

Spam/Spamming¶
Using the same ability or card over and over again.
Stamp¶
Thousand Faces Seal (material used for upgrading and transcribing covenants).
Stat stick/_ stick¶
Refers to awakeners or wheels that are used because of their high basic attributes rather than their actual abilities. For example: "Even if you don't care about the effect of Path Forsaken, you can still use it as a Crit Rate stick."
Sub DPS¶
A secondary damage dealer in addition to the main DPS.
Sustain¶
The ability of a team to stay alive over many turns through healing and shielding.
Sustained damage¶
Damage which is dealt consistently over multiple turns.
T¶
Tank/Tanking¶
A "tanky" awakener can take incoming damage or negative status effects without consequence.
Tawheel¶
Wheel Unseen (Tawil's SSR wheel).
U¶
Unit¶
Awakener. Comes from gaming slang.
Utility¶
Useful abilities that awakeners have apart from dealing damage.

Vort/Vortex¶
Vortice.
